Job summary

Murphy is recruiting for a SHESQ Advisor to work with our Energy and Industry team for projects in Dublin, Newbridge and Limerick. We seek a candidate with a Higher Diploma in Health & Safety and at least 2 years' experience on civil engineering/construction sites to support a culture of safety, environmental and quality management across sites and projects.

The role involves maintaining ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 systems, conducting inductions, audits and toolbox talks, and contributing

Qualifications

• Higher Diploma in Health & Safety
• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience on civil engineering/construction sites
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with one or more teams
• Good written and spoken communication abilities
• Good IT skills with a high attention to detail
• A flexible and proactive approach
• Demonstrate leadership skills
• Implementing and rolling out behaviour based programmes

Responsibilities

• Assisting in maintenance of the Safety Management System, Environmental Management System and Quality Management Systems and to ensure continued compliance with ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001
• Carrying out inductions
• Producing monthly statistics
• Champion Culture Development Programme (behaviour-based safety programme)
• Carry out and document site audits and inspections
• Keeping up to date with changes in safety, health and environmental legislation and construction industry guidance
• Ensuring personnel on site have the pre-requisite training records
• Investigating, logging and monitoring of Incidents and Non-conformances
• Completing all necessary report forms
• Identifying significant safety impacts for work areas and helping set-up of appropriate controls
• Ensure all safety and environmental records are kept and readily available
• Prepare and present toolbox talks as and when required
• Prepare and present at monthly safety meetings
