Job summary

Midland Steel is seeking an experienced SHEQ Manager to lead Health, Safety, Environment and quality management across all sites, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and company policies. You will collaborate with Production teams to implement safe systems of work and maintain documented safety, environmental and quality practices.

You will drive continuous improvement, oversee internal and external audits, and embed a strong SHEQ culture from directors to shop floor while developing

Qualifications

• Degree in Health & Safety or equivalent qualification.
• Chartered membership of a relevant industry body or working towards.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in manufacturing/construction.
• Ability to manage SHEQ across multiple sites and customers.

Responsibilities

• Custodian of Safety/Environmental and Quality Management systems.
• Implement and monitor safe systems of work.
• Ensure compliance to regulatory and quality standards.
• Lead development and delivery of SHEQ strategy; engage stakeholders.
• Oversee audits and inspections by statutory bodies and clients.
• Drive continuous improvement of policies, processes and procedures.
• Lead new SHEQ initiatives and procurement framework for SHEQ across supply chain.
