Job summary

Global Professional Consultants seeks a Setting Out Engineer for a Main Building Contractor in Arklow, Co. Wicklow, to work on a housing project starting soon.

You will set out construction works to drawings, establish reference points, and use Total Station, EDM and GPS to ensure accurate layouts, while maintaining health and safety standards on site.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of setting-out on building projects in Ireland or the UK.
• 3rd level degree in Construction/Civil Engineering.
• Proficient with Total Station, EDM instruments and GPS for precise set out.

Responsibilities

• Perform precise setting out of construction works from drawings and specs.
• Establish reference points, grades and benchmarks for accuracy.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to implement setting out requirements.

Setting Out Engineer

A Setting-out Engineer required for a Main Building Contractor to work on our clients project based in Arklow, Co. Wicklow to work on a housing project which is starting in a couple of weeks.

Duties:

• Perform precise setting out of construction works based on drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Establish reference points, grades, and benchmarks to ensure accurate measurement and alignment.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to clarify and implement setting out requirements.
• Utilize surveying instruments like total stations, GPS, and laser levels for accurate measurements and layouts, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Maintain strong health and safety standards.

Requirements:

• 2 years + experience of setting-out on building projects in Ireland or UK.
• 3rd level degree in Construction/Civil Engineering.
• Proficiency with the use of Total Station, EDM instruments & GPS to complete accurate set out.
