Job summary

EPS Group is seeking a Project Design & Co-Ordination Engineer for site-based work at Dundalk Wastewater Treatment Plant. You will coordinate process, mechanical and electrical inputs within a design team and support designers with site data to develop robust design requirements.

You will manage BIM Level 2 documentation, assist with BOQ procurement, and write engineering reports while advancing projects in water and wastewater.

Qualifications

  • 3rd level qualification in Engineering / Safety management.
  • 3+ years on-site experience in civil/mechanical projects.
  • Experience in design and build of water or wastewater projects.
  • Pro-active team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Client facing experience.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate process, mechanical and electrical designer inputs within a design team.
  • Support designers with site data for process, civil, mechanical design requirements.
  • Manage project documentation using BIM Level 2 per Irish Water specifications.
  • Assist with purchasing and acquisition of BOQ items including labour and materials.
  • Develop goals and plans to prioritise, organise and meet deadlines.
  • Write engineering reports.

Job description

Role: Project Design & Co-Ordination Engineer

Location: Site Based Dundalk Wastewater Treatment Plant.

Project Details.

Mechanical and Electrical Upgrade works to the sludge farm at the existing Wate Water Treatment plant Infrastructure.

Key Tasks And Responsibilities.
  • Working within a dynamic Design Team Environment
  • Co - Ordination of Process & Mechanical & Electrical designer inputs.
  • Support EPS appointed designers with the development of Process Civil Mechanical design requirements with site data.
  • Undertake project documentation management All designs & supporting information is delivered using a BIM (Building Information Modelling) Level 2 solution in accordance with Irish Water Specifications and the agreed BIM execution plan.
  • Assisting with purchasing and acquisition of all BOQ items for projects including labour, parts and materials.
  • Writing engineering reports.
  • Have a willingness to learn and be challenged in the water and waste water Industry.
  • Have proven experience in an engineering role in a Civil/Mechanical environment.
  • Implementing opportunities and initiatives in a time restricted schedule.
  • Develop specific goals and plans to prioritise, organise and accomplish stated deadlines.
Skills / Attributes;

Experience would be preferable to include Mechanical / Electrical and/or Wastewater Treatment

3 or more years on-site experience.

Previous experience in design and build of water or wastewater projects.

Possess a positive and pro-active approach to working in a team environment with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Client facing experience.

Experience would be desirable with MS Project, P6 and BIM 360

Education Requirements:
  • 3rd Level qualification in Engineering / Safety management
