Job summary

MongoDB Inc. is seeking an experienced engineer for the Server Programmability team in Ireland. You will contribute to low-level MongoDB Server libraries, runtimes, and tools, writing production-grade C++ code and tests.

The role involves performance analysis, bug fixing, and collaborating across multiple teams on major initiatives. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in systems programming with C++, strong CS fundamentals, and proven ability to reason about data structures, algorithms, and software

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Systems programming in C++ or other low-level languages.
• Solid CS fundamentals with strong data structures, algorithms, and software design.
• Strong verbal and written communication and collaboration skills.
• Hands-on production-level coding experience, especially in C++.

Responsibilities

• Write production-ready code in C++ for MongoDB Server components.
• Write unit tests and integration tests in C++, Javascript, and Python.
• Investigate server performance and create regression tests.
• Lead medium-sized projects and participate in design reviews.
• Interview candidates and handle customer escalations.
