Job summary

European Tech Recruit collaborates with a global semiconductor leader in Ireland to design, implement and verify high-performance sensor subsystem components within the Infra-Sensors team, interfacing with architecture, software, verification and SoC teams across locations.

The role emphasizes RTL development in Verilog/SystemVerilog or VHDL, AMBA protocols (AHB/AXI/APB), and low-power methodologies, with a strong focus on verification and debugging using industry-standard tools.

Qualifications

  • Experience in ASIC design and RTL development using Verilog/SystemVerilog or VHDL.
  • Understanding of AMBA protocols including AHB, AXI and APB.
  • Knowledge of low-power design concepts and UPF methodologies.
  • Experience with lint and CDC analysis tools.
  • Familiarity with simulation and debugging tools such as Verdi or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Support the design and development of ASIC and subsystem components.
  • Develop RTL designs and contribute to verification activities.
  • Participate in design reviews and technical discussions.
  • Identify, debug and resolve design issues throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Work closely with architecture, verification, software and SoC integration teams.
  • Support the implementation of low-power design methodologies.
  • Document design decisions and contribute to technical deliverables.
  • Continue developing technical expertise in sensor subsystem technologies and semiconductor design methodologies.

Job description

An exciting opportunity has opened with a global leader in semiconductor and wireless technology, working on advanced technologies for next-generation mobile and computing platforms.

The Infra-Sensors team develops high-performance sensor subsystem IP and technologies. As part of the team, you will contribute to the design, implementation and verification of advanced sensor subsystem components, working closely with architecture, software, verification and SoC teams across multiple locations.

This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge semiconductor technology while building expertise in subsystem design, low-power methodologies and industry-standard AMBA protocols.

**Please note this position requires 5 days per week onsite**

Skills and Experience
  • Experience in ASIC design and RTL development using Verilog/SystemVerilog or VHDL.
  • Good understanding of digital design fundamentals and computer architecture concepts.
  • Familiarity with AMBA protocols including AHB, AXI and APB.
  • Understanding of low-power design concepts and UPF methodologies.
  • Experience with Lint and CDC analysis tools.
  • Familiarity with simulation and debugging tools such as Verdi or equivalent.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within global, cross-functional teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and contribute within a dynamic engineering environment.
