Job summary

ProSource Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead water and wastewater civil engineering projects. You will take full ownership of delivery from mobilisation to handover, directing teams and subcontractors to meet safety, quality, programme and budget targets.

The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering degree and at least 7 years in water/wastewater schemes, with proven contracts management experience and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline required.
• Minimum 7 years' experience on civil engineering projects.
• Experience with water and wastewater projects; project or contracts management experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver water and wastewater projects from mobilisation to handover.
• Manage programmes, budgets, cost reporting and commercial performance.
• Lead site managers, engineers, foremen, subcontractors, plant and materials.
• Oversee pipelaying, pumping stations, treatment works upgrades and associated civil works.
• Review drawings, specifications and contract documents; manage RFIs and technical queries.
• Plan and monitor progress; implement recovery measures as needed.
• Maintain quality, testing and commissioning records and as-built documentation.
• Ensure all works meet project specifications, environmental requirements and Health & Safety standards.
• Act as main point of contact for clients, consultants, local authorities and utility stakeholders.
• Mentor and develop engineers and site staff within the project team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take full responsibility for delivering water and wastewater projects from mobilisation to handover.
• Manage project programmes, budgets, cost reporting and commercial performance.
• Lead and coordinate site managers, engineers, foremen, subcontractors, plant and materials.
• Oversee pipelaying, pumping stations, treatment works upgrades and associated civil works.
• Review drawings, specifications and contract documents, and manage RFIs and technical queries.
• Plan and monitor progress against programme, and put recovery measures in place where needed.
• Keep quality control, testing and commissioning records, and as-built documentation, accurate.
• Make sure all works meet project specifications, environmental requirements and Health & Safety standards.
• Act as the main point of contact for clients, consultants, local authorities and utility stakeholders.
• Mentor and develop engineers and site staff within the project team.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline (essential).
• Minimum 7 years' experience on civil engineering projects.
• Proven experience with a civil engineering contractor specialising in water and wastewater (essential).
• Previous experience at Project Manager, Senior Engineer or Contracts Manager level.
• Strong knowledge of watermains, sewers, pumping stations and/or treatment plant works.
• Experience managing programmes, budgets and subcontractors.
• Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills.
