Job summary

Egis is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join the Water Services team in Ireland. You will lead structural design from feasibility to construction support for water and wastewater infrastructure for Uisce Éireann and contractors.

Hybrid work from Dublin/Castlebar/Limerick/Cork is available. The role combines strong technical design with project management, delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality outcomes across multiple projects.

Qualifications

Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.
Chartered Engineer status or near chartership is required.
8–10 years' experience in structural engineering.
Proven experience delivering water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
Experience managing multidisciplinary engineering projects.
Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete and steel design.
Full driving licence and willingness to undertake site visits.

Responsibilities

Lead the structural design of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including tanks, pumps, treatment structures, and related elements.
Deliver feasibility studies, option assessments, and detailed designs.
Prepare and review structural calculations, reports, drawings and tender documents.
Coordinate interfaces with other disciplines for integrated design solutions.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
