Job summary

Jobgether in Ireland seeks a Senior Accountant to deliver comprehensive US GAAP accounting support to US CPA practices. You will oversee the general ledger, reconciliations, month-end and year-end closes, and financial statement preparation in a fully remote, client-facing environment with strict confidentiality.

The role emphasizes accuracy, strong analytics, and the use of AI tools to improve efficiency. You will collaborate directly with US-based clients and ensure regulatory compliance

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional accounting experience with 2+ years in a U.S. CPA firm or practice.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge; IFRS-only experience not considered.
• Professional designation such as CPA/CA/ACCA/SAICA preferred.
• Experience with month-end/year-end closes and financial reporting.
• Experience collaborating with U.S.-based clients and tax compliance across entities.
• Proficient with accounting software and AI-powered tools for productivity.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations and maintain the general ledger.
• Perform monthly reconciliations and carry out month-end/year-end closings.
• Prepare and review financial statements including P&L and balance sheets.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of reporting documentation.
• Support tax filings, regulatory compliance, and multi-entity requirements.
• Communicate with U.S.-based clients to resolve accounting inquiries.
• Leverage AI tools to improve workflows and accuracy.
