Job summary

Etsy in Dublin is seeking an Accountant to join the Accounting Team in Dublin. You will ensure timely and accurate financial reporting across international entities and maintain strong internal controls.

The role covers US GAAP and statutory reporting for multiple subsidiaries, month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and collaboration with treasury and payroll. Equity, bonus and benefits are part of the total rewards.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA/ACA/CPA/CIMA or equivalent).
• Approx. 1 year post-qualification experience in a similar environment.
• Strong financial accounting background with practical application.
• Experience with ERP systems; exposure to Workday is a distinct advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day, monthly and quarterly International accounting activities.
• US GAAP and statutory accounting/compliance for several international Etsy subsidiaries.
• Own US GAAP reporting: month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, internal reporting.
• Own local statutory compliance: audit & preparation of financial statements.
• Perform monthly analytics for each subsidiary.
• Drive continuous improvement via standardisation, automation, process reengineering, and AI-enabled tools.
• Collaborate with treasury, payroll, and other teams across the company.
