Job summary

WSP is seeking a Senior Transport Planner to join its Transport & Mobility Planning team in Ireland. The role can be based in Dublin or Naas with hybrid working from offices, combining in-office and home working.

You will support a range of transport projects, lead on Irish transport planning tasks, and work across modes to develop strategies, active travel schemes and business cases from inception to completion.

Qualifications

• Experience in active travel including the delivery of NTA PAG Phase 2-4 schemes.
• Experience of developing transport focused strategies, plans and policies including ABTA process delivery.
• Experience in business case development, transport assessments, scheme feasibility, concept design, etc.
• Experience of working with Local Authority clients and willingness to develop such experience.
• Experience or willingness to develop client and sales skills including bid writing and client engagement.

Responsibilities

• Support on a range of transport projects across Ireland and potentially lead on Irish transport planning projects.
• Work with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver large projects from concept to delivery.
• Contribute to proposals and business case development.
• Collaborate with UK transport and mobility colleagues on cross-border projects.
• Contribute to WSP’s four pillars: People, Clients & Growth, Operations, Expertise.
