Job description

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a specialist Transfer Agency function within a leading financial services organisation.

Reporting to a senior programme lead, the Project Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of projects, with a particular focus on client-facing and technology-based initiatives.

This is a high-profile role involving direct engagement with external clients, internal stakeholders and senior executives. Some projects will also require presentation to Risk, Compliance and Change committees.

The successful candidate will work with stakeholders across different locations and functions, often balancing competing priorities and requirements. You will be responsible for bringing stakeholders together to agree scope, solutions and delivery approaches in a structured and collaborative manner.

The role will involve managing multiple projects simultaneously, from initial scoping through to testing, implementation and project closure.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage client-facing projects from initiation through to successful delivery.
• Liaise extensively with clients to establish requirements, agree solutions and define project deliverables and timelines.
• Define and manage project scope based on internal and external stakeholder requirements.
• Develop and maintain project plans, milestones, documentation and required approvals throughout the project lifecycle.
• Proactively identify, assess and manage project risks, ensuring appropriate mitigation actions are implemented.
• Lead project meetings and coordinate project teams across multiple business areas and locations.
• Track and manage project issues, coordinating appropriate solutions and monitoring them through to resolution.
• Monitor project milestones, budgets and estimates versus actual costs.
• Provide regular project status updates to relevant business stakeholders and sponsors.
• Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and implementation planning.
• Support the development of procedures, controls and training materials associated with project implementation.
• Coordinate and engage with internal Risk, Compliance and Change committees where required.
• Conduct cost/benefit analysis under the direction of the Project Owner.
• Ensure project lessons learned are documented, agreed with sponsors and shared across the wider team.
• Manage several projects and initiatives concurrently while maintaining delivery standards and deadlines.
