CS Consulting is looking for an experienced Senior Traffic & Transport Engineer to lead the delivery of traffic & transport requirements on development projects across Ireland.
This is an opportunity for a traffic & transport engineer who enjoys leading the delivery of transport requirements on projects, building strong client relationships and mentoring others.
Working alongside multidisciplinary teams, you'll take ownership of projects from concept through construction, delivering practical transport solutions across residential, commercial, public sector and infrastructure developments.
You'll deliver traffic & transport engineering solutions on a varied and engaging portfolio of projects, including:
- Private residential developments (low-rise and high-rise)
- Public sector housing schemes for Local Authorities and the Land Development Agency (LDA)
- Hotels and hospitality projects
- Industrial and manufacturing facilities
- Healthcare and education projects
- Refurbishment and adaptive reuse of existing buildings
- Commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects
Your profile
As a Senior Traffic & Transport Engineer, you'll lead projects through all stages of delivery, working closely with clients, architects, contractors, local authorities and multidisciplinary design teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
- Take full responsibility for fulfilling the traffic modelling and transport requirements for development projects throughout Ireland;
- Prepare Traffic Impact Assessments (TIA), Mobility Management Plans (MMP), Travel Plans, DMURS statements, etc. for planning applications;
- Design junctions, roundabouts, car parks, access to car parks and basements, etc.
- Engage with and advise colleagues/ clients on parking ratios, bicycle, electric vehicle, shared vehicle requirements for developments;
- Engage with TII, the Local Authority, An Bord Pleanála as required;
- Co-ordinate the development of all traffic & transport drawings and reports;
- Mentor and support junior engineers.
What We're Looking For:
- Degree in Traffic/ Transport Engineering or Civil Engineering (Level 8 or higher).
- Minimum five years' relevant experience, including experience within an Irish engineering consultancy or transport agency.
- Broad traffic design and modelling engineering experience including junction design.
- Experience delivering transport requirements on a variety of projects.
- Good knowledge of Irish design standards, including TII, DMURS and Local Authority specific requirements.
- Strong project leadership, coordination and client-facing experience.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Full driving licence (desirable).
- Chartered Engineer (CEng MIEI) or working towards Chartership (desirable).
- Experience with Picady, Arcady, Oscady and Transyt software (or equivalent) (desirable).
- Experience in road design and detailed design of civil infrastructure (desirable).
