We are seeking a Senior Technical Executive on a 1-year Fixed Term Contract. As a Senior Technical Executive, you will provide a lead role in overseeing food composition database imports and integrations, complex data architecture integrity and analysis, system migrations, database maintenance, and technical client services. You will bridge the gap between data integrity, client services, and software engineering, while supporting junior team members and interns. You will report to the Director of Scientific & Regulatory Affairs.
This is a pivotal hire as Nutritics embarks on its next transformational step as we continue to scale in the UK & grow into the United States.
Technical Services:
- Technical services - Delivery of services including but not limited to project & BAU customers - e.g. recipe creation, food imports, technical review, data auditing
Internal Coordination:
- Lead weekly technical catch-ups, review action items, and assign developer/data tickets across the technical services team.
- Mentor and guide junior executives and interns on data manipulation, scientific publications, and data quality SOPs.
- Support the Director with audit compliance, impact and risk assessments.
- Collaborate with internal colleagues and other teams such as other functional managers to ensure consistent messaging and alignment of data integrity efforts with the organisation's overall strategy.
- Partner closely with Software Engineering, Product, and QA teams to brief dev tickets, review SQL/API requirements, and validate build pushes (Alpha/Beta/Live).
- Use internal developer tooling, database management environments (Navicat/DBeaver, SQL queries), and internal admin panels to audit and resolve system anomalies.
- Assist in scoping AI/LLM data initiatives (e.g., SureFood testing, automated QUID translations, intelligent portion conversions).
Pre Sales and Marketing Support:
- Ensuring data is optimised for region in which it will be used and ensuring Nutritics is best represented in pitches, tenders and high value demos.
- Content creation or review - Demo accounts / sample recipes.

The Ideal candidate will have
- 3-5+ years of professional experience in a technical data role, technical account management, quality assurance or database management.
- Strong familiarity with relational database structures, SQL query writing, database schemas, and API data flows. Proficiency with advanced spreadsheet modeling (Google Sheets/Excel) for data manipulation.
- Understanding of food composition data, international regulatory labeling standards (EU, FDA, SFDA, Health Canada), and allergen compliance.
- Strong analytical mindset with proven experience running technical impact assessments and root-cause troubleshooting.
- A high degree of autonomy, taking end-to-end ownership of tasks and technical projects with minimal supervision.

- Third level degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Food Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Location and Hours of Work
Our weekly hours of work are 37.5 covering Monday to Friday. This is a hybrid role and we offer a lot of flexibility around core hours. Teams based in Ireland and the UK are required to work from the local office one day every two weeks.
This role can be based either in Ireland or the UK
