Job summary

Nutritics in Ireland or the UK seeks a Senior Technical Executive on a 1-year Fixed Term Contract to lead food composition database imports, data architecture integrity, and complex system migrations. You will mentor juniors, coordinate with Software Engineering, Product and QA, and support pre-sales with region-optimised data for demos and tenders.

The role offers hybrid working, exposure to global clients, and a clear path to growth as Nutritics expands internationally.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years in a technical data role, technical account management, QA or database management.
• Strong familiarity with relational database structures, SQL, schemas and API data flows.
• Proficiency with Google Sheets/Excel for data manipulation.
• Understanding of food composition data and global regulatory labeling (EU, FDA, SFDA, Health Canada) and allergen compliance.
• Autonomy with end-to-end ownership of tasks and technical projects.
• Degree in Data Science, CS, Food Science, IS or related field.
• Fluent spoken and written English; foodservice/nutrition experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead weekly technical catch-ups and assign developer/data tickets.
• Mentor junior executives and interns on data manipulation and data quality SOPs.
• Support the Director with audit compliance, impact and risk assessments.
• Collaborate with Software Eng, Product and QA to brief dev tickets and validate builds.
• Audit system anomalies using Navicat/DBeaver and SQL queries.
• Scope AI/LLM data initiatives (SureFood testing, translations, portion conversions).
• Ensure data is optimised for region in pitches, tenders and high-value demos.
