Job summary
Autism A Chara (previously Autism Initiatives Ireland CLG) is recruiting a Senior Supervisor – Day service in Bray for a permanent, full-time position. The role requires a Social Care/Studies degree or equivalent and at least one year supporting people with complex needs.
You will lead a team, manage rotas, and drive service delivery per each person’s care plan. Applicants must have a full driving licence, permission to work in Ireland, and strong communication skills.
Qualifications
- Social care degree essential.
- At least 1 year experience as a Social Care Worker.
- Knowledge of current legislation in the Social Care Sector.
- Understanding of the needs and rights of individuals with autism.
- Fluent English and excellent communication skills.
- Full manual driving licence essential.
- Permission to work in Ireland essential.

Job description
Social Care/ Studies or Relevant 3rd Level Qualification at degree level i.e.; Social Work, Psychology is essential, (or relevant qualification received outside the state recognised by NARIC equivalent to Irish level 8).
- At least one year’s recent experience working as a Social Care Worker supporting people with complex needs
- Proven knowledge of current legislation and regulations relating to the Social Care Sector
- Understanding of the needs and rights of individuals with autism
- Proven ability to work on own initiative
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Places the needs of the person supported as the key focus in all activities
- Delivers support according to the person’s PCP and care plan.
- Fluent English and excellent communication skills
- Experience at a similar level with responsibility for supervising/managing a team
- Proven experience in managing team rota
- Experience of leading/chairing meetings
- Full, manual drivers licence essential with requirement to drive service vehicles
- Permission to work in Ireland essential
