Job summary

Dolby OptiView seeks an experienced Senior Staff Operational Support Engineer to lead major incident responses for 24/7 streaming platforms and to drive automation and reliability improvements. You will own production issues end-to-end and coordinate across streaming, DRM, CDN, and real-time systems while influencing platform design for better operability.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in operational, support, or similar customer-facing roles.
• Own complex problems end-to-end with autonomy.
• Influence decisions beyond individual contribution.
• Experience with large-scale production video streaming platforms.
• Troubleshoot distributed systems (APIs, microservices, cloud).
• Deep knowledge of HLS, DASH, CMAF, WebRTC, DRM, CDN architectures.
• Experience with monitoring, alerting, and logs (Grafana, Kibana/ELK, Prometheus, Loki).
• Safely execute complex production changes under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead critical incident response and senior escalation for high-severity incidents.
• Coordinate cross-team resolution across streaming, player, ads, DRM, CDN, and real-time systems.
• Communicate clearly to internal and external stakeholders during incidents.
• Operate in production with end-to-end system ownership.
• Design and review infrastructure changes using Infrastructure as Code.
• Partner with Eng and DevOps to improve deployment safety and resilience.
• Drive automation and AI-augmented operations to reduce toil.
• Plan readiness for high-risk live events and validate monitoring.
• Contribute to root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate across teams and participate in post-incident reviews.
• Support a 24/7 global service with on-call coverage.
