Job summary

Salesforce Dublin is seeking a senior Site Reliability Engineer to join the global SRE organization. You will drive operational resilience by engineering automation, observability, and AI‑powered platforms, while reducing toil and enabling reliable, scalable cloud services.

You will lead incident management, postmortems, and proactive improvements, applying modern software practices to operate high‑availability systems for customers worldwide.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in systems and software engineering for large‑scale services.
• Containerized architectures (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration platforms.
• Distributed systems and Linux/Unix internals with performance tuning.
• Experience with large‑scale internet service architectures (DNS, HTTP, load balancing, caching).
• Proficiency in Python and Go with strong software engineering practices.
• Observability platforms experience (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, Splunk, Datadog).
• Incident management including on‑call, RCAs and postmortems.
• SRE principles: SLIs/SLOs, toil reduction, capacity planning.
• Workflow/orchestration engines (Temporal, Airflow, Argo Workflows).
• AI/ML in operations: anomaly detection, predictive analysis, AI agents.
• Excellent communication; ability to mentor engineers.
• Ability to work in a 24/7 global operations model.
• AI‑first approach and experience with AI tools; advanced prompt engineering.
• Related technical degree required.

Responsibilities

• Lead incident detection, response, and resolution with root case analyses.
• Lead post‑incident reviews and corrective actions for reliability.
• Understand AI/ML concepts applied to operations.
• Design and implement complex automation platforms and AI tooling.
• Architect production‑grade observability solutions (monitoring, logging, tracing).
• Drive optimization of system performance and cost‑effectiveness.
