Job summary

Morgan McKinley in Dublin is seeking an experienced Database Engineer / SQL Developer to join a growing technology team. You will work in a large-scale Microsoft SQL Server environment, supporting critical databases and driving data migration to a future-state platform.

The role involves debugging complex T-SQL, building ETL with SSIS, and collaborating with Developers, Analysts and Product Owners to ensure compliant, secure and high-performance data solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience with large/multi-terabyte databases and SSIS.
• Deep knowledge of query optimisation and performance tuning.
• Experience in regulated or enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases.
• Work with large-scale, multi-terabyte databases.
• Support data migration activities from legacy to future-state platforms.
• Develop and maintain ETL processes and SSIS packages.
• Write, optimise and troubleshoot complex T-SQL queries.
• Carry out query and database performance tuning.
• Document technical solutions and changes.
• Collaborate with Developers, Business Analysts and Product Owners.
