Job summary

MedForce is seeking a Senior Speech & Language Therapist to join the Adult Primary Care Team in South Dublin. You will deliver assessments and interventions for adults with communication, cognitive‑communication, voice and swallowing disorders in community and primary care settings.

You will lead clinical practice, supervise junior staff, collaborate with GPs and other MDT members, and contribute to service development while maintaining HSE‑standard documentation.

Qualifications

• Recognised qualification in Speech & Language Therapy.
• CORU registration.
• Minimum of three years’ post‑qualification clinical experience.
• Experience working with adult clients, including dysphagia management.
• Excellent communication, clinical reasoning, and organisational skills.
• Full driver’s licence and access to a car is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage adults presenting with communication, cognitive‑communication, voice, and dysphagia disorders.
• Deliver evidence‑based interventions in clinic, home, residential, and community settings.
• Work collaboratively with GPs, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Dietitians, Public Health Nurses, and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
• Provide clinical leadership, supervision, and support to junior staff and students.
• Contribute to service development, quality improvement initiatives, and multidisciplinary case management.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with HSE standards.
