Job summary

Bristol-Myers Squibb Co. is seeking an QC Operations professional to support Smart QC, trend analysis, and continuous improvement within the QC Projects team at Cruiserath.

You will help ensure training, SOP compliance, and successful tech transfers while contributing to efficiency initiatives across the QC function. Ideal candidates have a science degree and at least two years in a pharmaceutical lab, with strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Qualifications

  • Third level qualification (Degree) in Science or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a pharmaceutical / healthcare laboratory or related technical function.
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience of working with teams and influencing decisions.
  • A strong knowledge of laboratory operation, in particular training and testing requirements from receipt to CoA is required.
  • Experience working with Smart QC and strong knowledge of it’s capabilities as a tool for QC.
  • Involvement in project scoping and tracking is desirable.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and knowledge of applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Support the QC teams with operation of Smart QC, addressing queries and support tickets, and running business tasks.
  • Conduct trend assessments in collaboration with SMEs and document outcomes.
  • Support APQR activities and continuous improvement projects in QC.
  • Assist with Lean labs and automated scheduling tool improvements and project management of assigned projects.
  • Plan and implement procedures and systems to maximise operating efficiency using Operational Excellence tools.
  • Support operational training activities, onboarding, training delivery, and other training requests across QC.
  • Assist tech transfers managed by the QC Projects team where needed.
  • Support Drug Substance release activities through tracking and data collation.
  • Ensure SOPs and Registered Specifications compliance.
  • Align laboratory process improvements with BMS safety culture.
  • Participate in regulatory agency inspections as required.

Job description

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the QC teams with operation of Smart QC which includes, addressing queries and support tickets, method builds, improvement projects and general run the business tasks.
  • Support QC trending activities by conducting trend assessments in collaboration with relevant Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), ensuring outcomes are clearly documented and actioned.
  • Support APQR activities.
  • Support the QC teams with continuous improvement projects as part of the QC Projects team portfolio.
  • Support process improvements for investigation reduction and right first time in the QC teams.
  • Support Lean labs and automated scheduling tool process improvements.
  • Project management of projects assigned to self, including planning, tracking, communication and escalations where needed.
  • Strategically plan and implement procedures and systems to maximise operating efficiency through the use of Operational Excellence tools.
  • Support of operational training activities to support efficiency and compliance across QC e.g support onboarding, delivering training and other training related requests.
  • Support of tech transfers managed by the QC Projects team, where needed.
  • Perform activities to support Drug Substance release e.g. tracking, data collation, where needed.
  • Compliance with Standard Operating Procedures and Registered Specifications.
  • Ensure any laboratory process improvements align with the BMS Safety culture.
