Job summary

Fruition Group Ireland’s Dublin client is seeking a Senior Automation Test Engineer to join on a permanent hybrid basis. You will design and maintain test automation frameworks, leverage AI-enhanced tooling, and drive quality across web, mobile (iOS/Android) and API-based services.

Work sparks collaboration with developers to optimize CI/CD pipelines, implement ML-driven risk analysis, and ensure scalable, maintainable test coverage in AWS environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of software testing experience, including manual and automation testing.
• Proven ability to develop and execute automated test scripts.
• Hands-on experience with Cypress and Playwright.
• Experience testing across iOS and Android and AWS-based environments.
• Familiarity with REST API testing and test automation tools.

Our Dublin based client are looking for a Senior Automation Test Engineer to join their team in a permanent role

The client have an office based in South Dublin and the role will be performed on a hybrid working model, 2 days per week on site

The company operates on a global scale and have an office in Dublin with a strong and growing team

You will be working as part of a collaborative team driving test automation and leveraging AI-powered solutions to ensure software quality and overall project delivery

Responsibilities:

• Use AI-powered tools to accelerate test generation, automation script development, and step definition creation.


• Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks to improve scalability, accuracy, and maintenance


• Implement machine learning techniques and data analysis to identify high-risk areas


• Guide tests, and prioritize the overall QA coverage.


• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines to integrate code analysis, test selection, and failure prediction models


• Work with the development team and quality teams to define and evolve strategies for quality assurance


• Evaluate and introduce AI-based testing tools to reduce older testing models and improve cycles.


• Monitor and maintain automation coverage using AI tools to detect gaps, outdated tests, and potential redundancies in the test suite.

Required experience

• 5+ years of experience in software testing, including manual and automation testing


• Proven ability to develop and execute automated test scripts


• Be capable of using tools like Cypress and Playwright


• Have hands‑on experience testing across iOS and Android platforms, and integrating with AWS‑based environments


• Familiarity with mobile test automation tools and platforms such as UI Testing, UI Automator (Android), and experience testing on both Android and iOS devices


• Strong knowledge of REST API testing with tools like Rest Assured and JMeter


• Hands‑on experience with cloud‑based architectures, including microservices, multitenancy, and batch services


• Proficiency in AWS and CI tools such as GitHub Actions or similar
