Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to power the digital heartbeat of cardiac care. You will design and deploy scalable data pipelines, monitor systems, and resolve production issues while mentoring junior engineers in an agile environment.

The role requires building with CI/CD, IaC (Terraform), and AWS services, plus strong Python and PySpark skills. Join a team delivering life‑changing medical technology at scale in Ireland.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field.
Minimum 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 2 years.
Experience with CI/CD tools, preferably GitHub Actions.
Experience with AWS services including Glue, Athena, Lake Formation, Lambda.
Proficiency in Python; PySpark is a big plus.
Experience with Apache Spark and Iceberg.

Responsibilities

Complete assigned tasks within established deadlines.
Design and deploy CI/CD pipelines.
Design proactive monitoring and alerting.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
Mentor assigned junior engineers focusing on project support and skill development.
