Job summary

TechHeads seeks a Senior Software Engineer focused on backend and cloud ownership in Clare, Ireland. You will maintain and enhance the existing backend and cloud environment, working across administration, networking, security and infrastructure with Node, AWS, Terraform and ECS.

Hybrid working offers balance and flexibility for a secure, established team. The role requires 4+ years with Node/Python/Java, AWS expertise (ECS/Aurora/CodeBuild), Terraform/IaC and PostgreSQL, plus experience

Qualifications

• 4+ years experience in open source technologies such as Node, Python, Java.
• Extensive AWS experience including services such as ECS, Aurora and CodeBuild.
• Experience with Terraform/Infrastructure as Code.
• Strong PostgreSQL experience.
• Experience maintaining existing codebases.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the existing backend and cloud environment across administration, networking, security and infrastructure.
• Work across backend and cloud stacks using Node, AWS, Terraform and ECS.
• Collaborate with security and infrastructure teams to implement reliable, scalable solutions.

Salary: €73,000 - €88,000 DOE

TechHeads is seeking an experienced Software Engineer with strong AWS expertise to join a growing technology team in Clare. This is an excellent opportunity to work with modern and in-demand cloud and backend technologies in a well established and secure organisation.

You will be responsible for maintaining and improving the existing backend and cloud environment, working across administration, networking, security and infrastructure using technologies including Node, AWS, Terraform, ECS and more.
