Job summary

The Recruitment Company is recruiting a Senior Software Engineer / Full Stack Java Developer for a long-term contract in Galway. The role is backend-focused, requiring strong Java and Spring Boot skills to build and maintain enterprise applications.

You will contribute to backend services, APIs and microservices, and support DevOps in AWS, Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines. Some Angular frontend work is a plus. Hybrid working in Galway.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of strong Java and Spring Boot experience.
• Experience developing backend services, APIs and microservices.
• Exposure to cloud environments, ideally AWS, and containerisation with Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling.
• Exposure to Kafka or similar is strongly desired.
• Some Angular or frontend experience is a plus.

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer / Full Stack Java Developer to join a technical team working on the development and enhancement of enterprise applications. This is a primarily backend-focused role, ideal for a developer with strong Java and Spring Boot experience who is comfortable working across modern cloud-based environments.

Key Requirements

• 4+ experience with Java and Spring Boot.
