Elastic, the Search AI Company, seeks a Senior Software Engineer to join the Integrations Team and help Elastic show up inside the AI ecosystem. You will build developer-facing surfaces that connect Elastic to language clients, CLI, MCP server, third-party integrations, and the skills that make Elastic accessible wherever developers work.

You'll ship skills that run across every agent. This role focuses on Go and Rust, working with product teams and external partners to shape integrations, and

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience on backend systems.
• Proficiency with AI/ML frameworks and LLMs; familiarity with MCP.
• Significant Go experience; other languages a plus.
• Knowledge of client-server networking, HTTP and REST APIs.
• Able to read unfamiliar codebases and contribute effectively.
• Strong product thinking and focus on developer experience.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve the Elastic MCP server and infrastructure in Go.
• Develop the universal agent skills platform and tooling.
• Set correctness bar with evals; avoid assumptions.
• Design integrations for Elastic in third-party ecosystems.
• Contribute to Elastic CLI to boost developer efficiency.
• Develop and maintain libraries and integrations for the Elastic Stack in Go and Rust.
• Bring product thinking; defend what to build and why.
