Elastic, the Search AI Company, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Integrations Team. You will build and evolve the MCP server and underlying infrastructure using Go, and create a universal agent skills platform with authoring, publishing tooling, and linting.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, backend systems/services/libs
• Proficiency with AI/ML frameworks and understanding of LLMs/agents/protocols like MCP
• Significant Go experience and familiarity with other languages
• Knowledge of client-server networking, HTTP, RESTful APIs
• Comfort reading unfamiliar codebases and contributing across languages
• Strong software engineering practices and product thinking
• Excellent communication, collaboration and stakeholder skills
• Willing to work in a remote, globally distributed team
• Curiosity about multiple programming languages and new tech

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve the Elastic MCP server and infrastructure in Go
• Develop platform for universal agent skills including format, tooling and linting
• Help set correctness bar with evals for shipped skills and tools
• Design and deliver integrations with third-party AI ecosystems with product and partners
• Contribute to the Elastic CLI to improve developer efficiency
• Develop and maintain libraries, tools, and integrations for the Elastic Stack in Go and Rust
• Bring product thinking and defend opinions on what to build and why
