Job summary

Elastic is seeking a Software Engineer II for the Web Engineering team. You will own meaningful parts of the Elastic.co experience, building features across the stack, shipping to production, and owning code in production.

You’ll collaborate with product, design, and other developers to improve site quality and performance in a distributed, async-first environment. The role requires 3+ years in full-stack/frontend with TypeScript/React depth, backend experience, and CI/CD ownership.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a full-stack or frontend role with TypeScript and React depth.
• Production experience shipping and operating backend services.
• Experience owning CI/CD pipelines end-to-end (GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Proven track record of using AI to accelerate development and debugging.

Responsibilities

• Own features across the full stack from design to deployment.
• Instrument client-side performance and backend logging/metrics.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to ship features.
• Write clean, maintainable code and own production behavior.
• Triage and resolve security vulnerability reports from reproduction to disclosure.
• Participate in code reviews and on-call rotations.
• Diagnose production issues spanning client and backend failures.
