Job summary

Liberty IT is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to deliver high-quality software, prototype AI features, and enable AI delivery capabilities. You will work in a fast-paced, changing environment, collaborating with Product Owners and stakeholders to shape solutions.

You’ll contribute to architecture, write clean code, and mentor juniors while improving CI/CD pipelines and security practices. Hybrid and in-office options are available with learning and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years software development in a commercial environment or 5 years with certifications.
• Third level qualification in Software Engineering, Computer Science or STEM.
• Experience with DevOps tools for deployment (Jenkins, Bamboo, Git or similar).
• Experience in agile teams (Scrum, Kanban, XP) and working with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality software and prototypes for AI features.
• Contribute to architecture or design with senior team members.
• Write clean code and improve coding standards.
• Own and deliver defined stories with regular progress updates.
• Mentor junior developers to deliver features and components.
• Collaborate with technical and non-technical teams to maximise value.
• Implement testing, security practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Grow knowledge of architecture and modern engineering principles.
