Job summary

SENIOR AI SOFTWARE ENGINEER is sought in Dublin South for a hands-on, technically focused role within an international technology organisation. You will own solution design, AI‑enabled applications and technical delivery while staying closely aligned with business stakeholders.

The role expects 5–8+ years of commercial software development, strong SQL and data modelling, API and integration experience, and cloud deployment expertise. Hybrid work with 2 days in the office is offered.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years' commercial software development experience.
• Strong experience designing, developing and maintaining business‑critical applications.
• Excellent SQL, relational database design and data modelling skills.
• Experience developing APIs and enterprise integrations.
• Experience building and deploying applications within cloud environments.
• Good understanding of AI, LLMs and intelligent application development.
• Strong knowledge of the full software development lifecycle.
• Experience supporting production applications and resolving technical issues.
• Good understanding of Git, CI/CD and modern software delivery practices.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to independently own technical delivery.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop secure, scalable and maintainable business applications.
• Take ownership of solutions across design, development, testing, deployment and production support.
• Build and integrate practical AI, LLM and automation solutions.
• Develop APIs and integrations connecting internal and external business platforms.
• Design and maintain relational databases, application data models and supporting data structures.
• Contribute to the development of application, integration and AI architecture.
• Ensure applications meet appropriate standards for security, performance and scalability.
• Support production systems through troubleshooting, root cause analysis and issue resolution.
• Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into effective solutions.
• Contribute to technical design discussions, code reviews and development standards.
• Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing to other developers.
• Support release management, application governance and continuous improvement
