Job summary

Barrog Healthcare is seeking dedicated Support Workers to help individuals with disabilities integrate into the community. The role involves assisting with daily living activities, personal goals, and facilitating social outings across Mallow and Leamlara in Co. Cork.

You will work 12-hour shifts, with a strong emphasis on safety, documentation, and collaboration with the Team Lead. A qualifying health/social care background, CORU registration, and a valid driving licence are required for this

Purpose of Role

To support individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities to integrate into their local community in line with their care plans and goals. Activities include nature walks, swimming, cinema, gym, and social outings, creating a safe environment for clients to reach their full potential.

Critical Requirements

• Right to Work: You MUST already hold full, unrestricted Right to Work in Ireland (Stamp 4, EU/EEA/UK Passport). No visa sponsorship is available.
• Driver's License: Valid Full Driving License required.
• Support Worker: Minimum QQI Level 5 in Health or Social Care for Support Workers and Minimum QQI Level 7 in Health or Social Care (or equivalent) AND CORU registration for Social Care Worker
• Age Requirement: Must be 23 or older for insurance purposes.

Role Details & Compensation

• Salary: €35,360 - €40,602 for Senior Support Workers and €39,520 - €45,823 for Social Care Workers. It is expected all new extrants will start at the first point on the pay scale.
• Locations: Mallow Co. Cork or Leamlara Co. Cork
• Job Type: Full-time
• Shifts & Hours: 12-hour shifts (8:00 AM-8:00 PM and 8:00 PM-8:00 AM). Hours agreed upon offer; flexibility for 24/7 cover required.
• Reporting To: Team Lead.
• Probation & Vetting: 6 months probation. Subject to reference checks, Garda Vetting, and international security clearance (if resident abroad for >6 months post-age 16).
