Job summary

Health Service Executive in Ashford (Wicklow) seeks a Social Care Worker for a permanent wholetime post. The role involves leading a team, delivering person-centered care, and coordinating with care plans to support people with complex needs.

Qualifications

• A full QQI level 7 Award in Social Care or Applied Social Care/Studies/Practice at degree level is essential, (or relevant schedule 3 qualification as listed on CORU's website) with at least 6 months recent experience working as a Social Care Worker supporting people with complex needs.
• Or a relevant 3rd level qualification at degree level (Social Work/Psychology) with at least 2 years recent experience in a similar role.
• Eligible to register with CORU as a Social Care Worker.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of Social Care Workers.
• Manage staff rota and chair meetings.
• Deliver support according to each person’s PCP and care plan.
• Drive service vehicles as required and maintain safe driving practices.
