Job summary

Walls Construction is seeking a Senior Site Engineer to support the Construction Management Team, delivering on-site control and the successful completion of building elements. This role requires technical oversight, coordination of site activities, and leadership of site engineering functions.

Based in Ireland, the Senior Site Engineer will manage setting-out teams, ensure quality and safety, review plans, and liaise with subcontractors and clients to drive projects forward.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in a Site Engineer role with a Main Contractor.
• Proven experience using setting-out equipment such as total stations, GPS, and laser levels.
• Strong knowledge of temporary works coordination.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work independently and use initiative in solving problems.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise setting out engineers to ensure works are delivered accurately and efficiently.
• Inspect shuttering, reinforcement, and dimensional compliance prior to concrete pours, and maintain accurate materials reconciliation records.
• Review plans and drawings to verify accuracy of calculations and ensure compliance with design and specifications.
• Liaise with subcontractors, clients, consultants, and other project stakeholders to coordinate site activities.
• Oversee quality control measures and ensure full compliance with health and safety standards and site procedures.
