Job summary

ICDS (UK) Ltd in County Wexford, Ireland, is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to lead site engineering on a major infrastructure project. You will coordinate subcontractors, manage setting out, and ensure quality, safety and on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate holds a Civil Engineering degree, has proven senior-site experience, and can interpret drawings and specifications. You will work with project management teams to plan activities and resolve technical challenges.

Qualifications

• Degree or relevant qualification in Civil Engineering.
• Proven experience as a Senior Engineer or similar site engineering role.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods and engineering principles.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all site engineering activities to drawings and specs.
• Set out works and oversee surveying activities with accuracy.
• Review technical drawings and resolve discrepancies.
• Coordinate subcontractors and site teams for smooth delivery.
• Monitor progress against programme and flag delays.
• Ensure compliance with quality, health & safety and environmental regs.
• Maintain site records, quality documentation and as-built information.
• Assist with planning and coordinating upcoming construction activities.
• Support method statements, risk assessments and inspection plans.
• Collaborate with project team to resolve technical challenges.
