Job summary

Excel Recruitment is seeking a Senior Sea Freight Operator to join a busy Cork freight forwarding team in Cork City, Republic of Ireland. The role focuses on coordinating import and export sea shipments, liaising with shipping lines and overseas agents, and ensuring timely delivery with excellent customer service.

The successful candidate will have 2+ years in sea freight forwarding, strong import/export knowledge, and proven ability to manage multiple shipments while maintaining high service

Qualifications

2+ years' experience in sea freight forwarding or freight operations.
Strong knowledge of import/export procedures and customs requirements.
Experience liaising with shipping lines, agents, and transport providers.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines.

Responsibilities

Coordinate import and export sea freight shipments.
Manage bookings with shipping lines, transport providers, and overseas agents.
Monitor shipments from origin through to final delivery.
Prepare customer quotations and respond to rate requests.
Process sales and purchase invoices.
Handle customs and shipping documentation.
Provide exceptional customer service and shipment updates.
Support the development of sea freight services.
