Job summary

Mastercard is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Test (SDET) to lead automation for agentic AI-powered platforms. This hands-on role requires deep automation expertise, solid software engineering fundamentals, and production-grade testing across APIs, UI, and data pipelines.

You will design scalable test strategies, build robust automation frameworks, and partner with engineers, product managers, and data/AI teams to ensure quality from design to release.

Qualifications

Proven experience in automation testing for distributed systems.
Experience with AI-enabled or agentic testing is a plus.
Strong understanding of CI/CD and test strategies.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional teams.
Experience working in Agile environments.

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end quality engineering for agentic applications and APIs.
Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks for UI, API, and integration testing.
Define test strategies for AI/agent-based systems, including workflow validation and reliability.
Build automated quality gates for CI/CD pipelines and release confidence.
Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, architects, and data/AI teams.
Create meaningful test data, identify defects early, and drive root-cause analysis.
Evaluate performance, observability, and scalability.
