Job summary

Mastercard is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Test (SDET) to own automation across UI, API, and AI‑powered workflows. You will design scalable test strategies, build robust automation frameworks, and validate complex agentic systems in production‑grade environments.

This hands‑on role emphasizes ownership, modern quality practices, and collaboration with software engineers, product managers, and data/AI teams to raise the bar for release quality.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in software test automation and framework design.
• Proven ability to test modern distributed systems, APIs and UI apps.
• Experience validating AI-enabled or agentic applications and workflow tests.
• Familiarity with Agile, shift-left, CI/CD and quality gates.

Responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end quality engineering for agentic apps and APIs.
• Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks for UI/API testing.
• Define test strategies for AI/agent systems including workflow validation.
• Build automated quality gates for CI/CD to enable high‑confidence releases.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and data/AI teams to bake quality in.
• Create test data, validate edge cases, and drive root cause analyses.
• Evaluate performance, reliability, observability, and scalability.
• Mentor team members on automation and quality best practices.
