Job summary

Amazon Development Centre Ireland Limited in Dublin is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to own the design and delivery of fault actions at the core of FIS. You will build the capabilities that safely disrupt production‑grade AWS services, such as EC2, EKS, Kubernetes workloads, and ElastiCache, driving resilience, scalability, and safety of those systems.

You will set technical direction for your team, advise leadership on architecture, mentor engineers, and ensure strong

Qualifications

Experience leading architecture and design of new and current systems.
Experience in professional, non-internship software development.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science.

Responsibilities

Own the architecture for one or more FIS fault domains and guide technical strategy.
Design, build, and release software at large scale for AWS customers worldwide.
Create new fault actions and target types end to end with authorization and testing.
Drive durable solutions, not short-term workarounds, where safety matters.
Raise the bar with alarms, telemetry, guardrails, and incident reviews.
Collaborate with AWS service teams to design integrations and land cross-team deliveries.
Mentor engineers and promote engineering best practices across the team.
