Job summary

Amazon Development Centre Ireland Limited is seeking talented Software Development Engineers to join our distributed systems team. You will take ownership of meaningful technical challenges and collaborate with a skilled team to shape the future of network infrastructure.

You'll design and develop software solutions, own the development lifecycle for assigned features, and work across teams to ensure alignment with system goals. We value growth, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Experience (non-internship) in professional software development.
Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.
Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.

Responsibilities

Design and develop software solutions that integrate into distributed system architecture.
Own the complete development lifecycle for assigned features, including design, implementation, testing, deployment, and operational support.
Collaborate across teams to understand requirements, share technical insights, and ensure solutions align with broader system goals.
Contribute to team growth by sharing knowledge, providing constructive feedback, and supporting the development of other engineers.
Identify and drive technical and process improvements that enhance system reliability, performance, and team productivity.
