Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Senior Scientist for Process Science Modeling & Data (PSMD) in Ringaskiddy, Cork. The role drives data-driven solutions using MVDA, APC, statistics, and machine learning to optimize pharmaceutical manufacturing.

You will partner with MSAT, quality and digital teams to improve process understanding and product quality across global sites. The position emphasizes leadership in model governance, deployment, and lifecycle management, with opportunities to influence

Qualifications

Strong background in statistical analysis, process modeling and data analytics.
Experience working with large, complex datasets from manufacturing, laboratory, quality or operations.
Proficiency in Python, R, MATLAB or equivalent.
Familiarity with MVDA tools such as SIMCA, SIMCA Online, JMP or Seeq.

Responsibilities

Develop, deploy, monitor, and maintain multivariate statistical models for pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
Lead MVDA methodologies, including process monitoring, fault detection, root cause analysis, and process characterization.
Support development and implementation of Advanced Process Control (APC) solutions across drug substance and drug product manufacturing.
Analyze complex manufacturing, quality, laboratory and process data to identify optimization opportunities and support investigations.
Design and execute advanced analytics, machine learning and predictive modeling initiatives to improve performance.
Collaborate with MSAT teams to support technology transfers, process validation and lifecycle management.
