Job summary

Mace combines construction expertise with consultancy to unlock potential in every person or project and redefine the boundaries of ambition. The senior scheduler role is within major capital delivery works with the grid network based in Cork.

The experienced scheduler must possess experience as a scheduler in a large capital project delivery environment with an understanding of the grid and managing schedules against baselines to effectively communicate the schedule to key stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 8+ years scheduling experience in major capital projects.
• Experience with Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Strong analytical and IT skills.
• Degree in project management, engineering or construction.

Responsibilities

• Managing and upholding exceptional standards in safety, quality, sustainability and compliance across all programme activities, fostering a safe and inclusive environment for all teams.
• Providing strategic direction for key assignments, ensuring effective planning, scheduling and performance to meet programme objectives and client expectations.
• Developing, managing and reporting against fully integrated master schedules, maintaining WBS, baselines, assumptions, and change control to ensure programme integrity.
• Facilitating schedule planning workshops, conduct progress reviews, challenge contractor deliverables and provide clear insights on critical path, variance and overall performance.
• Delivering accurate, timely schedule reporting and “what‑if” analysis to support leadership decisions, resource planning, budgeting and integrated controls.
• Supporting programme controls by aligning schedule, cost and risk data, contributing to the enhancement of planning processes, procedures and QSRA activities.
• Upholding Mace values through diligent governance, supporting negotiations, strategic development and responsible business practices that drive long‑term positive impact.
• Building strong collaborative relationships, promoting knowledge sharing, innovation and best practice across multidisciplinary teams, clients and key stakeholders.
