Job summary

John Paul Construction is seeking a Senior Authorised Person (SAP) to take ownership of electrical safety, switching operations and permit-to-work activities across critical infrastructure projects. You will act as the designated SAP for HV/LV systems, manage switching, issue permits, and ensure compliance with regulations.

The role requires proven SAP experience, strong HV knowledge, and excellent stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating as Senior Authorised Person (SAP).
• Strong knowledge of HV electrical distribution systems.
• Experience managing permits, switching schedules and safety procedures.
• Excellent understanding of electrical regulations and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Act as SAP for HV/LV electrical systems and manage switching operations.
• Issue and control Permit-to-Work documentation.
• Authorise safe access to electrical installations and substations.
• Conduct risk assessments and support incident investigations.
• Provide mentorship to operational teams and support maintenance.
