Job summary

Maples Group is seeking a Senior Sanctions Analyst to join its Group Compliance team, based in Dublin, London or other eligible locations. The role focuses on sanctions analysis, advisory support, and risk-based decision making across a global office network.

Key duties include alert review, case management, onboarding reviews and policy guidance. Candidates should have knowledge of OFAC/UK/EU/UN regimes and strong report-writing skills.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of international sanctions regimes (US, EU, UK, UN).
• Experience in sanctions, financial crime, compliance operations or risk analysis.
• Experience administering sanctions screening systems and case documentation.
• Strong analytical, ownership and documentation skills.
• Excellent written communication for escalation notes and reports.
• Ability to manage multiple cases across time zones with high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide sanctions analysis and internal advisory support for new and existing business relationships.
• Assess sanctions risk for clients, beneficial owners and counterparties; document findings.
• Triage queries, manage escalations to Global Head of Sanctions and legal teams.
• Support onboarding, periodic reviews and lifecycle events with sanctions input.
• Monitor sanctions regimes, maintain policies, and prepare FAQs and alerts.
• Assist with training, reporting, and continuous improvement of screening processes.
