Senior Sales Representative / Business Development Executive

Our client, an established hotel and golf resort in County Sligo, is seeking an experienced Senior Sales Representative / Business Development Executive to join its commercial team.
This is a proactive, target-driven role focused on generating new business and developing strong relationships across the corporate, hospitality, tourism, golf and events sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and secure new corporate, accommodation, conference, events and golf business.
- Develop new accounts across Sligo, the Northwest and the wider Irish market.
- Build strong relationships with corporate clients, event organisers, golf societies and tourism partners.
- Manage existing key accounts and increase repeat business.
- Conduct client meetings, presentations and resort site inspections.
- Promote the resort’s accommodation, meetings, conferences, corporate events, golf days, weddings and group packages.
- Develop a strong sales pipeline through prospecting, referrals, networking and market research.
- Prepare proposals and manage enquiries from initial contact through to conversion.
- Attend trade shows, networking events and tourism-industry functions.
- Work closely with the Revenue, Marketing, Events, Golf and Operations teams.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and produce regular pipeline and sales reports.
- Monitor competitor activity and identify emerging commercial opportunities.
- Achieve agreed sales targets, KPIs and revenue objectives.
Candidate Requirements
- At least three years’ experience in sales, business development or account management.
- Hotel, hospitality, tourism, golf, leisure or events experience is highly desirable.
- Proven success in generating new business and developing key accounts.
- Strong negotiation, presentation and relationship-management skills.
- Commercially focused, proactive and target driven.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- An existing network within the corporate, tourism, events or golf markets would be advantageous.
- Full, clean driving licence and access to transport.
- Willingness to travel and attend occasional evening or weekend events.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
