Job summary

Keyrock in Ireland is seeking a Senior Rust Engineer to join our Capital Markets division. You will design, develop, and operate low-latency trading systems and own key components end-to-end, collaborating with quants, traders, and engineers across a fully remote global team.

Ideal candidates bring production-grade Rust experience, strong AWS/Linux skills, and familiarity with FIX/REST/WebSocket protocols. You will drive standards, automation, and reliability in a high-growth crypto trading

Qualifications

• Rust experience building high‑performance, concurrent systems.
• Experience in systematic trading (HFT/market making) with market data knowledge.
• Strong AWS & Linux expertise, incl. debugging and production ops.
• Python or scripting for strategy development and automation.
• Familiarity with trading protocols (FIX, REST, WebSocket).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimise low-latency, mission‑critical trading systems.
• Own end-to-end trading stack components from architecture to production operation.
• Collaborate closely with quants, traders, and engineers to deliver solutions that improve trading performance and resilience.
• Maintain and evolve trading infrastructure with a focus on performance, stability, observability, and operational excellence.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues across exchange connectivity, execution, and market data handling.
• Drive engineering standards through technical leadership, code reviews, and mentoring.
• Embrace agentic engineering: leverage AI‑assisted workflows, drive automation of operational tasks, and help evolve the team’s agentic tooling.
• Contribute to functional, component, and production‑readiness testing for critical trading components.
