Job summary

Keyrock is seeking a Senior Rust Engineer to join its Capital Markets division. You will design, build, and operate low-latency trading systems in a fast-paced, fully remote team across Europe.

The role emphasizes ownership of critical infrastructure, collaboration with quants and traders, and high reliability. Ideally you bring production-grade Rust experience, familiarity with Tokio, and strong AWS/Linux skills, plus experience with trading protocols (FIX, REST, WebSocket) and low-latency

Qualifications

• Production-grade Rust experience building high-performance, concurrent systems; proficiency with Tokio is a strong advantage.
• Hands-on experience in a systematic trading environment (HFT, Market Making, Quantitative Trading, or similar).
• Strong AWS and Linux expertise, including cloud infrastructure trade-offs for latency-sensitive workloads, shell scripting, debugging, and production troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in Python or other scripting languages for strategy development, automation, and operational tooling.
• Deep familiarity with trading system protocols (FIX, REST, WebSocket), exchange connectivity, and market data feeds.
• Solid grasp of low-latency networking: TCP/UDP, packet and latency path analysis, kernel bypass techniques (DPDK).
• Familiarity with agentic engineering tools and concepts: LLMs, MCP APIs, AI‑First IDEs, harness engineering, and workflow automation.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimise low-latency, mission‑critical trading systems.
• Own key trading stack components end‑to‑end — from architecture through to production operation.
• Collaborate closely with quants, traders, and engineers to deliver solutions that improve trading performance and resilience.
• Maintain and evolve trading infrastructure with a focus on performance, stability, observability, and operational excellence.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues across exchange connectivity, execution, and market data handling.
• Drive engineering standards through technical leadership, code reviews, and mentoring.
• Embrace agentic engineering: leverage AI‑assisted workflows and automation of operational tasks.
