Job summary
Selby Jennings, in partnership with a leading global quantitative trading and technology firm, seeks a C++ Developer to design, build and optimize low-latency trading infrastructure in Dublin. You will work with engineers, researchers and business stakeholders on high-performance distributed systems.
You will own projects through the full SDLC, tackle complex performance challenges, and contribute to architectural decisions.
Qualifications
- Strong OS, concurrency, multithreading, networking and memory management knowledge.
- Experience building high-performance, highly available distributed systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and clean, efficient coding practices.
- Discipline with algorithms and data structures is essential.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop low-latency, high-performance applications using modern C++.
- Build scalable distributed systems capable of processing large volumes of real-time data.
- Optimise software performance through profiling, benchmarking, and systems-level analysis.
- Collaborate with researchers, engineers and stakeholders to solve technical challenges.
- Contribute to architecture decisions and drive engineering best practices.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues across software, networking and infrastructure.
- Take ownership of projects throughout the full software development lifecycle.
