Job summary

Bloomberg in Dublin is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Runtime Diagnostics. You will design and implement high-performance services across languages, contribute to a cutting-edge debugging platform, and work with internal users to shape the product.

You'll collaborate with diverse teams across Bloomberg to advance infrastructure, tooling, and AI-enabled features, while maintaining rigorous SDLC practices, automated tests, and scalable architectures.

Qualifications

• Degree in CS, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience building scalable applications in C++, Java, or Go with ability to pick up new languages.
• Strength in SDLC practices, automated testing, and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement high-performance services and APIs in C++, Python, Go.
• Build HTTP services accessed via Web APIs for thousands of internal engineers.
• Drive infrastructure with integrated diagnostic tooling across Bloomberg's engineering ecosystem.
• Collaborate with end-users to translate debugging workflows into product features.
• Drive architectural decisions balancing performance and usability at scale.
• Apply AI capabilities as a development tool and as a product feature.
