Bloomberg's core product, the Bloomberg Terminal, is used by over 400,000 financial professionals worldwide. It's continuously being developed and improved by approximately 9,000 engineers who are experts in their respective domains. Those engineers share a common need: to efficiently debug complex software written in multiple languages and deployed across diverse platforms - from on-premises infrastructure to the public cloud.
The Runtime Diagnostics team builds the applications, APIs, and platform that power an intuitive, semi-automated debugging workflow used by thousands of those engineers daily. We develop high-performance services that provide deep telemetry and observability at runtime in production. In short, this team defines the debugging experience at Bloomberg.
This is a unique opportunity to shape a product suite from its early stages within a newly formed team. You'll design and develop full-stack solutions using modern, high-performance technologies and distributed computing frameworks to build a seamless debugging platform. Your work will span from low-level systems tinkering to delivering polished, high-level developer tools - and the end-user applications you build will often emerge from that deeper exploration.
Through collaboration with a diverse range of engineering teams across Bloomberg, you'll gain broad exposure to the company's development workflows, architectures, and infrastructure - expanding your technical breadth while deepening your systems expertise.
