Job summary

Abbott in Ireland seeks a Senior Accountant to join the RTR team, supporting European markets with outsourced partners and reporting to the RTR Manager. Based at Cherrywood SSC, Loughlinstown, Co Dublin, you will problem solve and drive process improvements in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires communication across cross-functional teams and the ability to work independently while coordinating with external partners. Strong Excel skills and SAP experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Part qualified – ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA.
• Experience in Shared Service Centre or multinational background.
• Strong initiative in change management and process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Responsibility for supporting the monthly general ledger close activities for US GAAP
• Review and preparation of monthly reconciliations & journals to ensure high quality compliance with US GAAP
• Complete SOX controls in line with control matrix
• Work closely with outsourced business partner
• Maintain and develop relationships with key stakeholders and provide information and support as needed
• Support completion of Internal and External audits.
• Identify opportunities for improvement of processes and work on key team projects
• Other ad-hoc activities
